Little did I know our enjoyment of enjoying a few drinks together on the weekend slowly turned into him having more than his fair share. Most of these people I've found at Celebrate Recovery meetings. I also never saw it as a problem in the beginning because I had never been around anyone with a drug or alcohol problem. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive campus community in which students in recovery from addiction can achieve their academic, personal and professional goals. Celebrate Recovery was started in 1991 with a small, 43-person meeting in a high school gymnasium and has grown to one of the most commonly practiced and followed spiritual recovery models in the country. That makes me unbelievably happy.
